Beat Surrender’s members are seasoned musicians who have played weddings, corporate functions and private parties throughout the UK for a number of years. They pride themselves on their professional attitude, reliability, smart appearance and commitment to your event.
Guaranteed to get you and your guests on the dance floor, the band’s repertoire includes something for everyone. Artists covered include the Beatles, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Queen, Mumford and Sons, Tina Turner, The Killers and much more.
Phil Norris - Lead Vocals / Guitar
The extremely talented but also very approachable frontman of the band has been playing guitar since he was just ten years old. Since then he’s won various awards and played in numerous projects, original bands and theatre pits before finally starting Beat Surrender back in 2009. Phil’s guitar playing and tone is highly regarded by many guitarists and as if that wasn’t enough his vocals are up there to match. Inspired by the great guitar bands of the noughties and nineties, music and performing is Phil’s greatest passion and he’s never happy than when he’s playing to a packed dancefloor.
Peter Mason - Drums / BVs
Hailing from a musical family based in the North East, Peter has been playing drums for over twenty years. With original projects he’s toured the UK’s top venues and shared the bill with bands including The Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and The Libertines. He currently performs at top level functions and events throughout the North East and beyond.
Anthony MacLeod - Bass / BVs
Together with Philip, Anthony took up the guitar twenty-two years ago when they were both children in middle school and they’ve been playing together ever since. As their most successful project, the two have played exclusively for Beat Surrender since forming it with Peter back in 2009. Anthony’s the backbone of the band and manages to authentically play the wide variety of genres found in Beat Surrender’s set.
